Gymnast, participated in the 1896 Olympics in Athens, Greece for Germany. Won three gold medals and a silver. In 1933 when the Nazi party came into power he fled to the Netherlands due to the fact that he was a Jew. When the nazis invaded the Netherlands he was arrested and deported to Theresienstadt concentration camp where he died.
