Kenneth L. Flanagan, 28, died Sunday [Jan. 19, 1992] in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Born Nov. 29, 1963, at Indianapolis, he had lived in Lafayette since 1973. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1982 and was attending Ivy Tech. He married Jill Foster on July 8, 1989, in Lafayette, and she survives.

Mr. Flanagan worked for Whayne Sebrey and Associates for 1 1/2 years as a heating, air and refrigeration technician. He loved football and was on the All-State team and was named Most Valuable Player his senior year. He also was on the North Central Conference All-Star championship team for two years as a linebacker. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, and the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union 157. He was an Army veteran.

Surviving with his wife are a son, Kenneth Tyler Flanagan, at home; his parents, John and Mildred Corbett Flanagan of Lafayette; three brothers, Michael Flanagan, Gary Flanagan, and Steven Flanagan, all of Indianapolis; two sisters, Barbara (Mrs. Bruce) Stafford of Lafayette and Janet (Mrs. Douglas) Anspach of Cleveland, TN; paternal grandmother, Genevieve Flanagan of Oxnard, CA; also nine nieces and nephews.
