Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Providence Baptist Church, Orangeburg, SC, with the Reverend Kimmett Lott officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, North, SC. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 12 noon at the church.
Mack was born September 8, 1946, in North, SC. He was a son of the late Albert Sidney Flake, Sr. and the late Nancy McMichael Flake. He graduated from North High School. Mack served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked with the South Carolina Tax Commission Criminal Investigation Unit for twenty-four years. He was the owner of Bear Creek Deer Processing and an avid beekeeper. Mack was one of the founding members of the Other Club (deer hunting club) and a member of Providence Baptist Church, Orangeburg.
Survivors include his children, McDaniel "Daniel" W. Flake (Lori), Kelsey M. Burgess (Bradley) and Brandon C. Amick (Melissa); grandchildren, Caleb Matthew Summers, Nancy Marissa Flake, Dwight Robert Wilson Flake; sister, Mary Ann Witt (Tommy); and brothers, John D. Flake (Shirley), Burnet M. "Maybank" Flake, James E. "Buster" Flake (Jane) and Richard L. "LeGrand" Flake (Joyce). He was predeceased by two brothers, Albert S. "Sidney" Flake, Jr. and Dwight E. "Ike" Flake.
