George M. Fitzhugh, born August 17, 1932, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the age of 82, on Monday, May 4, 2015.

He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Fincham and husband David of Gordonsville, and Denise Mitchell of Gordonsville and her late husband Mike Mitchell. He is also survived by his wife, Nicole Fincham of Richmond, five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a special aunt, Ruth Yeager of Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Yeager Fitzhugh and a special uncle, James R. Yeager.

George Served in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from AT&T.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday May 7, 2015, at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Gordonsville with interment to follow in Maplewood Cemetery. The Reverend David Cole will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.They would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Grace Health and Rehab and Legacy Hospice for their kind care and support.
