DEATH of MRS. NORA FINNEGAN FITZGERALD:
The Clarks Hill News is pained to announce the death of Mrs. Nora Fitzgerald, wife of the well known farmer of the Monroe vicinity. Her demise occurred at 12:10 a.m. Tuesday morning. Jan 1'st 1901. She lived only a few minutes into the new century. Her death was caused by consumption from which she has been a sufferer for a year. She had been confined to her bed through a period of more that eighteen weeks. The end came just as the new century was dawning. A disconsulate husband and five motherless children are left to mourn. Her parents were were formerly residents of the wyandotte neighborhood, but now reside in Lafayette. Mrs. Fitzgerald would have beene 35 years of age had she lived to July 3'rd next. The funeral took place Wednesday from St' Marys Church, Lafayette, interment at the cemetery there.
