The marriage of Mr. Briscoe in Marion county. Mo., April 26, 1859, united him with Elizabeth Fisher, who was born near Palmyra, Mo., April 27, 1841. Four children blessed this union — Zada Belle, Florence, Merritt C. (deceased), and Thomas M. Zada Belle married Isaac Erickson, who died in 1902. Florence married M. D. Young and resides in St. Joseph, Mo.; and Thomas M. is still at home.
