All Runner, resident of Albuquerque for over 50 years, and a member of Choctaw Tribe of Oklahoma, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, September 19, 2010. Phoebe was born on March 13, 1917 to George and Otis M. Fisher in Stigler, OK. She is survived by her son Cedric All Runner Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Phoebe was preceded in death by her husband, Cedric All Runner, Sr., in 1984; sisters, Judy Fisher, Norma Ruth Bacon, and Susie Jane Morris; and brothers, Israel Fisher, David James Fisher, Job Fisher, and Robert Noah Fisher. Phoebe served her country during WWII as a member of the Woman's Army Corps. Following her Army service she became a Dorm Matron for the Bureau of Indian Affairs Schools at Ft. Defiance, AZ and then retired from the Albuquerque Indian School. She was a member of North American Indian Women's Association and WAC Veterans Unit 60. Phoebe was also a proud member of the Carlisle Community Baptist Church for many years. Friends may visit French 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will take place at Carlisle Community Baptist Church 1124 Hermosa Dr. SE 87108 at 10:00a.m., on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. Phoebe will be laid to rest at the family plot at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in McAlester, OK.
