Mrs. Brittingham was born in Princess Anne County. She had retired from Smith & Welton Department Stores after 30 years. She was the widow of Leslie Brittingham and was a member of Christian Temple United Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Leslie R. Brittingham of Chesapeake and Donald Brittingham of Virginia Beach; four sisters, Bessie Vallastro of Lynchburg, and Emily Walker, Agnes Birdzell and Katie Hill, all of Chesapeake; two brothers, Wallace Fisher of Chesapeake and Benny Fisher of Virginia; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Donald Kirkbride. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
