"MRS NANCY CHASE DIED AT CENTERVILLE FRIDAY - She Was Sufferer From Paralysis - Funeral Monday Morning - Mrs Nancy A Chase, aged 71 years, living three miles north of Centerville at the farm home, died at 10 o'clock Friday morning. She had been sick for a considerable length of time and was a sufferer from paralysis. She had resided in the immediate neighborhood of the present home since she was a child of 3 years. She was born in New York state and her parents came here when she was very young. She was a good Christian woman and one who will be missed sincerely in the neighborhood and in her family. She is survived by her husband, James Chase, and the following children: Mrs Emma Heald, Titusville; Edgar Chase, Centerville; Mrs Seraph Morris, Robinson, Ill; Mrs Minnie Knapp, Kane, Pa; Mrs Inez Gray, Gilson Ridge. There is one sister, Mrs Emma Jude, Spartansburg, and three brothers, Lester Fish of Waterford, Ira Fish of Buell and Willard Fish of the Spring Creek road. Funeral services in her remembrance will be held on Monday. The funeral cortege will leave the residence at 9 o'clock and go to the Catholic church at Mageetown, where a mass will be celebrated at 10:30 o'clock by Rev Father David Hartnett, pastor of the congregation. Interment will be made in the church cemetery."
