Carole S. Barhorst, 70 of 513 Second St., Piqua passed away at 2:05 a.m. Tuesday January 20, 2009 at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born May 4, 1938 in Piqua to the late James and Velma (Rich) Finfrock. She married Paul Blanton who preceded her in death in 1982. She then married Robert L. Barhorst April 5, 1986 in Piqua; and he survives.

Carole was a graduate of Piqua Central High School, worked for over thirty-five years at Sonoco/Container Corp of Piqua as a press operator, then worked for the former A.V.I./Panasonic Company of Troy. She was a member of the Shawnee Rats Group, and the Snyder Road Church of God. She enjoyed her loving family, friends, and faithful dog, Sheba.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday January 23, 2009 at the Snyder Road Church of God. Burial will follow in Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday in the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45206.
