Agnes T. Filla ~ Agnes T. Filla, (nee Nowak) wife of the late Peter T. Filla, passed away at the Katie Jane Nursing Home, Warrenton, on Thursday, Dec. 5, having attained the age of 84 years, 11 months and two days. Mrs. Fill was born January 5, 1879 at Clover Bottom. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Faith and received her education at the parochial school. September 17, 1901 she was married to Peter T. Filla, and after marriage resided for about five years in Indian Territory in the Sate of Oklahoma and in 1908 established a permanent home in Washington. Two sons were born to this marriage, of whom she leaves to survive. Mrs. Filla's health had been failing for several years and she was seriously ill the past week. She was a member of the St. Francis Borgia church, and the St. Francis Ladies Sodality. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Peter T. Filla, February 9, 1940; two sisters, one brother and one grandson, Orville Filla, May 24, 1956. Survivors include two sons Roman P. and Arthur G. Filla, two daughters-in-law, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, all of Washington, and one sister, Mrs. Hedwig Gomoluh of Clover Bottom, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Monday, Dec 9, at 8 a.m. at the Nieburg & Vitt Funeral Home and 9 a.m. at the St. Francis Borgia church. Interment church cemetery.
