Helen M. Ehrhart, 90, died Friday evening, February 15, 2008, at her home in Dallastown. She was the wife of Clair E. Ehrhart, who died January 13, 2004.
Mrs. Ehrhart was born November 25, 1917, in Dallastown. She was the daughter of the late Winfield R. and Emma P. (Shirey) Fife.
Mrs. Ehrhart had been employed for most of her working life at Fife's Grocery Store in Dallastown, which was owned by her family. She was a member of St. Paul's U.C.C. in Dallastown. Mrs. Ehrhart was also a member of an informal sewing circle, which met at members' homes, for 63 years. She was a member of the Dallastown Historical Society and was known as the town historian.
Mrs. Ehrhart is survived by three sons, Lonnie Ehrhart of Perry, Mich., Gregory Ehrhart of Riverton, W.Va., and Larry Ehrhart of Eatonton, Ga.; one sister, Miriam P. Gemmill of York; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son, Burnell E. Ehrhart.
Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
