BELLA VISTA, Ark. - Opal (Fields) Crahan, 77, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at the Circle of Life in Springdale. She was the widow of Lawrence Crahan. She was born April 17, 1929, in Presque Isle, Maine, the daughter of the late Farrell and Mabel (Libby) Fields. Opal was very active in the Bristol Boy Scouts and received an award for all of her devoted and dedicated, hard work. She was also a volunteer in many of the area convalescent homes working with the elderly. She is survived by a son, Lance Crahan of Terryville; a daughter, Carol Savold of Arkansas; four brothers, Russell and James Fields of California, Roland Fields of Middletown and Gary Fields of Presque Isle, Maine; a sister, Betty Henderson of Presque Isle, Maine; five grandchildren, Justin, Travis, Scott, Ryan and Shawn; three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Gabriel and Noah; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Kevin Crahan. The funeral will be held Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at 11 a.m. from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol. Burial will follow in West Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash St., East Hartford, CT 06108.
