George A. Fields died Jan. 27, 2006, at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City. He was born Jan. 22, 1952, in Logan County, W. Va., to George Jr. and Willetta (Varney) Fields. He married Bonnie Huffman Shepherd on Oct. 24, 1986, in Belfry, Kentucky. He was an Air Force veteran. Surviving are his wife, four daughters, Michele (Harold), Melissa, Melinda, and Brandi; two sons, Dan (Becky) and Chris; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Reva (Floyd), Brenda Janet, and Jackie (Jim). He is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Fields (#51811551). Services are at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron. Burial is in Akron Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the American Legion and V.F.W. of Rochester.
