Jacob W. Fields, 66, 414 North Tenth St., died this morning at the Lebanon VA Hospital after an illness of one year. A son of the late Andrew and Mary Ann Elliott Fields, he was a veteran of World War I, having served in France. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church; the Goodwill Fire Company of Myerstown; the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Lebanon; the American Legion, Annville; the Fraternal Order of Orioles, the RM Club, the Liberty Fire Company Marching Club and the Disabled American Veterans Home Association, Harrisburg. Surviving are four sisters, Pauline, wife of Robert Kendig; Mrs. Elsie Miller and Clara Frantz, all of Lebanon; Maude, wife of Sterling Ditzler, with whom he resided; two brothers, Paul and Riley Fields, both of Lebanon; and a number of nieces and nephews.
