FIEDLER, Johanna Passed away on May 27,2011. Daughter of long-time Boston POPS conductor, Arthur Fiedler. Former PR director for the National Symphony in Washington, DC, program editor for the New York Philharmonic, and general press representative for the Metropolitan Opera. Author of two books, "Arthur Fiedler: Papa the Pops and Me" and "Molto Agitato: The Mayhem Behind the Music at the Metropolitan Opera". A life-long lover of animals, Johanna helped to train and serve with therapy dogs in a number of New York City hospitals, as well as at Ground Zero after the tragic events of 9/11. Johanna's true loves were music, books and dogs. She is survived by her sister Deborah Stiles, brother Peter, sister-in-law Dieuwke, nephews Arthur and Comelis Fiedler, nieces Jessica Stiles and Johanna Fiedler. Service of Remembrance at Boston University's Marsh Chapel on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 10:30 AM with interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Roxbury following.
