THE DEATH OF JOSEPH W FIDLER
Joseph W Fidler was found dead in the barn at his home, southwest of Crane Station, at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon. A few minutes before he had left his brothers, John and Jacob Fidler, and some neighbors who were there, to do the chores. The brothers and neighbors were getting ready to do some butchering on Friday. Jacob Fidler went to the barn to assist with the chores and found his brother lying dead on some hay. He had suffered an acute attack of heart trouble and expired without uttering a sound. Mr Fidler was born December 26, 1858, and was the son of Joseph and Hannah Fidler. He spent his entire life in the Cran Station vicinity. He was a successful farmer and was held in high esteem throughout the community. He made his home with his two brothers, John and Jacob Fidler, who survive. He is also survived by two sisters, Miss Sarah E Fidler and Mrs Rachael Cloyd, and a cousin, Orth Fidler, who lived with the three brothers. Mr Fidler was a member of the Wildcat Christian church.
