Springfield, NE. US Army Vietnam Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient. Retired Omaha Firefighter after 30 years of service, serving from 11-3-1969/11-11-1999 and retiring as an Fire Apparatus Engineer. Preceded in death by parents John and Sophie, brothers Walter and John, sisters Dorothy Grace and Mary Ann Morong. Survived by wife Stefi; children Gary (Melissa Johnson) Fibich, Tim (Desiree) Fibich, Tina (Tanner) Thomas, Christopher Fibich, grandchildren Grant, Nathan, Dylan, Corbin, sister Helen Stepanek, brothers Frank (Marge) Fibich, Edward Fibich.
VISITATION Tuesday after 5pm with Vigil Service 7pm at the funeral home. MASS of Christian Burial Wednesday 10am at St. Columbkille Church Papillion. Interment St. John Cemetery. Memorials requested to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
