Blanche Allen Ferrell, age 89 of Johnson City formerly of Rogersville, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at NHC Healthcare in Johnson City.
She was a member of Living Word Baptist Church in Johnson City.
Mrs. Ferrell was preceded in death by her husband, George Charles Ferrell; parents, Hiriam Coy and Valeria Still Allen; grandson, Nathan Ferrell; brother, Ira Allen; sisters, Moneda Alvis, Ruby Alvis and Hettie Henard.
Survivors include her sons, Les M. Ferrell and wife, Carolyn of Bristol, TN, Waymon M. Ferrell and wife, Mary Ruth of Kingsport, Rev. Dale M. Ferrell and wife, Audrey of Jonesborough; grandchildren, Leslie Bowman, Daryl Ferrell, Michael Ferrell, Kevin Ferrell, Chris Ferrell, Brian Ferrell, Jason Ferrell and Laralee Harkleroad; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Rowena Nelson of Rogersville; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 6, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dale M. Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
