Bobbie Jean Fergeson was born May 9, 1929 at Belleville, Arkansas. He was the son of William Brown Fergeson and Alma Lois Black Fergeson. Bob passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 82 years of age.
Bob grew up in the Bixby/Tulsa area. He attended Bixby High School, graduating with the Class of 1947. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Bob Fergeson and Dorothy Byrd were united in marriage on June 2, 1951 at her parent's home in Texarkana, Arkansas. At the time of her death, they had celebrated 57 years of marriage. During that time they resided in Bixby, Oklahoma for 19 years before moving to Baton Rouge, Louisiana where they resided for 39 years. Bob moved back to the Bixby area in 2011 to be closer to family.
Bob was employed with T.D. Williamson Oil as a Pipe Branch Manager for 32 years, retiring in 1987.
In his spare time, Bob enjoyed gardening, fishing, his grandchldren and great-grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ricky and his wife, Maxine in 2009.
