Born in Clover Hill on Sept. 22, 1918, son of the late John D. and Alice Packer Fenwick, Sr., he was a lifelong farmer, first in Clinton Township, and later in Port Treverton.
He was a member of Witmer's United Methodist Church, Port Treverton, and was a graduate of Flemington High School, Class of 1936. John also was formerly a school bus driver for Hunterdon Central High School, Flemington, for 25 years and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
His wife of 71 years, Hellena Voorhees Fenwick, died in 2012.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Lisa Fenwick III of Fort Ann, N.Y., and James and Wendy Fenwick of Wrightsville, Pa.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Richard Opdyke of Benton, Pa., and Ruth and Dennis Hebert of Indialantic, Fla.; two sisters, Gladys O'Brien and Jean Freund, both of Clover Hill; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
