Keith O. Fenn, a native of Grangeville and former president of the Idaho County Historical Society, died Wednesday at the Fountains Convalescent Home at Yakima.
Fenn, 85, suffered a severe heart attack after a three week stay in Memorial Hospital.
Fenn farmed on the Camas Prairie and also was a builder. During World War II he helped build ships at the Bremerton Navy Yard.
He ws married June 28, 1922, to Mina Adell Decker at a ranch near Grangeville. Mrs. Fenn was a teacher in schools at Grangeville.
After their retirement, the couple traveled extensively throughout the west. They lived at Turner, Ore., several years before returning to Grangeville in 1972. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Turner in 1972. Last fall the Fenns moved to Yakima becuse of their failing health. Mrs. Fenn recently entered a retirement center there.
Fenn was born Dec. 9, 1889, the only child of George and Carrie Fenn, early pioneers of the Grangeville area. He attended schools at Grangeville, graduating from high school there in 1907.
He was the last charter member of the Grangeville Christian Church and an active member of that church all of his life. He was a member of the Yakima Broadway Christian Church at the time of his death.
Survivors include his widow at Yakima; two daughters, Rhoda Carey, Yakima, and Mary Edwards, Chula Vista, Calif.; a son, Steve, Salem, Ore. and four grandchildren.
Viewing hours wil be from noon Monday to noon Tuesday at the Hansen-Noland Funeral Home at Grangeville. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church of Grangeville. Private burial services will follow at the Fairview Cemetery near Grangeville.
