Lillian Bundy, age 87, of 634 Galax Drive, Erwin, Tennessee, passed away Monday morning, May 16th, 2011, at her residence. She was born in 1923 in Yancey County, NC. She was the daughter of the late William Marion and Mary Jane Fender.
Lillian was a Licenced Practical Nurse. She was employed by Dr. Roark and Dr. L.D. Mullins for several years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross for several years.
Other than parents, She was preceded in death by her husband, E.W. Bundy, Jr., five sisters, and two brothers.
Lillian is survived by one son, Earl W. "Butch" Bundy, III and wife Sandy of Johnson City, and two daughters, Louise Beck and husband Jerry of Kingsport, and B.J. Bundy of York, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Gabe Beck of Knoxville, and Robyn Dietter of Ashburn, Virginia; four great grandchildren: Conner, Jaden, Caden and Ian; one sister in law, Nell Fender, Canton, North Carolina, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 P.M., Friday, May 20, 2011, in the chapel of Robert Ledford Funeral Home with Reverend Tony Rutherford officiating. Special music will be provided by Inez Chandler.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. preceding the service at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Unicoi County Memorial Hospital and Long Term Care Center, also Caris Hospice.
