Miriam Bisbee

Miriam A. Bisbee of Eugene died July 5 of age-related causes. She was 103. A private service is planned.

She was born July 30, 1907, in Salem to Solomon and Blanche Wisner Fender.

Her first husband, Ray Hough, died Oct. 31, 1961. She married Vernon Bisbee on April 17, 1966, in Salem. He died July 22, 1996.

She worked as a waitress and retail sales clerk, owned and operated a horse rental concession at Lake of the Woods. She was a homemaker, operated greenhouses in Bend, was a wholesaler and worked as a Christmas tree cutter.

Survivors include a daughter, Yvonne Kizer of Eugene; a son, Allen Hough of Twin Falls, Idaho; three grand­children; and five great-grandchildren.

Entombment will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home. Remembrances to the American Cancer Society.
