Floyd A. Felts and Sister Mrs. C.H. Austin Pass Away - Children of Mr. and Mrs. E.O. Felts

Mrs. Lotta A. Austin, beloved wife of C.H. Austin, former resident of Rockford, died July 5 at Ocean Park, Calif., after a severe illness of six months. All that medical and surgical skill could do proved of no avail. Mrs. Austin lived in Rockford in her early life, being cashier and bookkeeper for the late S.C. Withrow at his dry goods store. She resigned her position in 1887 to go to California with her parents.

Mrs. Austin was 45 years of age and the eldest daughter of E.O. and Alice Felts, of Sacramento. She was the mother of
Herbert F.,
Vern O.,
and Lenora A. Austin
and is also survived by a sister,
Mrs. J.A. Whitman, of Sacramento.

Mrs. Austin was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Los Angeles, July 8.

Mr. and Mrs. Felts were doubly afflicted within a month, their son, Floyd A. Felts, aged 34 years, brother of Mrs. Austin, having died June 13 at Eldridge, Calif. He was buried in the Home cemetery at Eldridge.

The family has many old friends in Winnebago county.
