Mrs. Edith Belle Fellers Atwood, 86, Beatrice, passed away Sept. 16 at her home. She was born March 5, 1884, on a farm east of DeWitt and came to Beatrice from Carleton in October 1954. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, U.C.T., and Eastern Star of which she was Past Matron.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond H. Atwood, Beatrice; three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Hawley, Beatrice; Mrs. Verne (Juliet) Gowe, Gurnee, Ill.; Mrs. Dean (Raedith) Reed, Libertyville,; (sic) Ill. four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. She was precded in death by three brothers, including the late Dr. E.W. Fellers.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 19, at Centenary United Methodist Church, Beatrice, the Rev. Clarence W. Buehler and the Rev. J. Waldo Greet officiating. Burial was in Chester Cemetery with graveside services at 2:00 p.m.
Mrs. Atwood was a resident of Chester from 1914 to 1934 when the family moved to Carleton.
