From Ebensbergeer-Fisher Funeral Home:

Rose Nell Newton passed away from this life on Friday, July 23, 2010, at her home in Leon Springs, Texas. She was 79 years old. She was born on June 27, 1931, in Kendall County, Texas to Walter and Josie Anderson Feller.

Rose is survived by her husband of 46 years Jack I. Newton, one daughter Robin Tuttle and her husband Paul, an honorary daughter Maria de Los Angeles and her husband Jesse, two granddaughters Lauren Stumberg and her husband Justin and Bailey Tuttle, two brothers Virgil Feller and his wife Billie Jo and Alfred Feller and his wife Violet, and sister-in-law Juanell Feller. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews of whom she loved, spoiled, and enjoyed. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Kenneth Eldon, Walter 'Bob', and Glen Feller, and one sister Maurene Feller Price.

Rose openly admitted cooking did not fit her vocabulary but eating was a fun habit. In her younger years, fishing and gathering stray dogs, cats, and other animals just came naturally and in some cases often. Taking her daughter, nieces and nephews to any swimming hole and watching the children swim so she had time to drop in a hook for a short time could be a vacation for her. In later years, her greatest pleasures in life were her granddaughters. She spoke often of their fun times, all of their accomplishments, and there were no failures in Rosie's world concerning them. The entire Feller family will remember, think about, talk about, and miss Rose and her fun, caring, and complaining ways.

A Visitation will be Tuesday, July 27, 2010, from 5-7 PM at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at 11 AM at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Boerne Cemetery. To leave the family condolences or to view a video of Rose's life, visit www.ebensberger-fisher.com and select the obituaries tab. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations go to the Hill Country Animal League 924 N. Main St., Boerne, TX 78006.
