He was the son of Samuel and Anna Margaret Smith Feeser. He married Emma Caler on September 14, 1863. They had one son. In 1900 he was living near Hanover, PA and working as a sewing machine agent. Later he farmed. In 1930 he was a sewing machine salesman in Berwick Township, Adams County, PA. He was struck by an automobile while crossing Frederick Street in Pennville in the evening. He suffered a fractured skull, a compound fracture of the left leg, a fracture of both bones of the lower right leg, a laceration of the right ear and the head. He died the following day in the Hanover Hospital.
