Born and raised Nancy Fazio in Manhattan, she moved to Pleasant Plains in 2004 and lived there until 2013, when she entered the nursing home.
A graduate of Washington Irving High School in Manhattan, she worked for thirty years as a customer service representative at HSBC Bank in Brooklyn, where she also sold insurance. She retired in 2004.
Mrs. Albanese enjoyed visits to Atlantic City and going on cruises. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and was a doting grandmother.
She was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, Pleasant Plains.
Surviving are her husband of fifty-two years, Gamdolfo; her daughters, JoAnn Mauro and Maria Albanese; two brothers, John and Anthony Fazio; and a grandson.
The funeral will be held on Thursday from the Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, Great Kills, with a mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, also Pleasant Plains.
