A funeral for former McMinnville resident Charlotte M. Clyde of Wilsonville will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Memorial Park, McMinnville.

The chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville, will be open for visitation from 2 to 7 p.m. today and noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Clyde died Aug. 3, 2003, in Legacy Meridian Park Hospital, Tualatin. She was 90.

She was born Nov. 18, 1912, in Chehalis, Wash., the daughter of Charles and Ida Duncan Fay. She was raised and educated in Chehalis, graduating from high school there. She then moved to Seattle, where she worked as a housekeeper. She later worked for Sears for several years.

She and Leslie Clyde were married June 20, 1937, in Chehalis, Wash. She and her husband farmed in Chehalis.

She lived in Cottage Grove from 1943 to 1946, then moved to Gold Beach. In 1956 she moved to Dayton, where she ran a farm with her husband. The couple lived in Yamhill from 1964 to 1974. They moved to McMinnville in 1981.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985. She moved to Wilsonville in 1998.

Mrs. Clyde belonged to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, McMinnville, and to the Order of Eastern Star, Gold Beach. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting. Her family said Mrs. Clyde always put family first.

Survivors include three daughters, Katy Jo Nunenkamp of Wilsonville, Carol Byhre of Portland and Leslie Larsen of San Antonio; two sons, Bill Clyde of Hillsboro and Joseph Clyde of Myrtle Creek; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
