Mrs. Josephine M. (Cilfone) Favale, 89, of Center Street, Waterbury, died Friday (August 11, 2000) at the Cedar Lane Rehabilitation Center in Waterbury. She was the widow of Joseph A. Favale, Sr.

Mrs. Favale was born August 13, 1910 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Michael and Theresa (Fascia) Cilfone.

She was employed at Peter Paul Mounds Candy Division for nineteen years until her retirement.

She was a communicant of St. Peter & Paul Church and a member of the Daughters of Mary Mount Carmel Church, the Jolly Ten Club, and an honorary life member of the Favale Generali Post.

Mrs. Favale leaves three sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph A. and Rolande Favale, Jr. of Waterbury, Peter and Edna Favale of Wolcott, and John and Jeanette Favale of Port Charolette, Florida; a daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and John Solury of Simsbury; a brother, Frank Cilfone of Waterbury; a sister, Theresa Parisi of Waterbury; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Monday, August 14, 2000 at 8:00 a.m. from the Maiorano Funeral Home, Inc, 95 Willow Street, Waterbury, to S.S. Peter & Paul Church for a Mass at 9:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2000 from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
