James Murry Faulkner, 78, retired engineer and contractor from Faulkner Construction, died Monday at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, where he was a communicant, with burial in St. Peter's Cemetery. Waller Funeral Home has charge. He was a World War II and Korean War Marine Corps veteran, recipient of the Flying Cross, the World War II Victory Ribbon and the Pacific Theatre Ribbon and a graduate of the University of Mississippi. Mr. Faulkner, the widower of Nancy Watson Faulkner, leaves a daughter, Meg Faulkner Du Chaine of Oxford; two sons, James Murry 'Rusty' Faulkner Jr. of Jackson and Thomas Wesley 'Buddy' Faulkner of Lookout Mountain, Tenn.; a brother, M. C. 'Chooky' Falkner of Oxford, and four grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Heart Association
