Mrs. Mary A Alger, aged nearly 83 years, died this morning at 9:30 o'clock at the sanitarium following several strokes of paralysis which she sustained over the last few weeks. She was the widow of L.M. Alger, contractor of this city for many years, and is survived by two sons, W.H. Alger, New York City representative of the North American Watch Co., and F.C. Alger, letter carrier for this city.
Mrs. Alger was born in Jeromesville, May 30, 1840, and came to this city at an early age. A few weeks ago she went to Fostoria to visit her sister and suffered several strokes. Two weeks ago she was brought to the Eleanor Thomas Sanitarium for treatment, but her condition was of such a serious nature that she did not recover.
The body was taken to Niman mortuary for preparation for burial, and later taken to the home of her son, Frank C. Alger, 75 Sycamore Street, where the funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock conducted by Rev. Foster C Anderson, pastor of the First Methodist Church, of which Mrs. Alger was a member. Burial will be at the Mansfield Cemetery.
