Cathy A. Amondson, 49, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at Luther Hospital. She was born on November 26, 1953, to Theodore and Bernice (Crawford) Farwell in Sterling, Ill.
Cathy moved to Fall Creek when she was young, she graduated from Fall Creek High School in 1972. She worked as a nurses aide at Fall Creek Nursing Home, Syverson Lutheran Nursing Home, the Center of Care and Luther Hospital in the sterilizing equipment department. She became disabled and stayed at home with Kalene. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and country music.
She is survived by her husband, Neville of Eau Claire; her daughter, Kalene of Eau Claire; one sister, Judy Farwell of Altoona; two brothers, Jim (Verna) Farwell of Eau Claire; and Randy (Jeannie) Farwell of West Dundee, Ill.; nieces, Ashley (Jamison) Schultz of Eau Claire; Elizabeth Farwell of West Dundee, Ill., Marcella (Pat) Hoelscher of St. Paul, Minn., Rita (Jerry) Lingen of Stanley, Wis., Deirdre McPherson of Henderson, Nev. Sloane McPherson of Cottage Grove, Minn.; nephews, Benjamin Farwell of West Dundee, Ill., Lance McPherson of San Diego, Calif., Chandler McPherson of Cottage Grove, Minn., Brandon Viellieux of Amery, Wis., and Eli Amondson of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; two grand nephews and one grand niece; father-in-law, Delwin Amondson of Baldwin, Wis.; sisters-in-law, Jean McPherson of Cottage Grove, Minn. and Shelly (David) Viellieux of Amery, Wis.; brother-in-law, David Amondson of Baldwin, Wis.; aunts, Della Lamoreux of Milledgeville, Ill., Shirley Turner of Polo, Ill., Arneda Crawford of Rock Falls, Ill.; a very close family friend, Marla Adrian of Altoona, Wis.; and many close friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernice and Theodore; two sisters, Arliss Donnley and Patrice Farwell; her mother-in-law, Marjorie Amondson; and brother-in-law, John Amondson.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 12, 2003, at Pinehurst Lutheran Church at 11 a.m., with Pastor Mark Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 11, 2003, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Smith Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church.
