ADAMSVILLE - Homer William Farris, 90, retired minister, died of heart disease Wednesday at Park Rest Nursing Home in Savannah. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Adamsville First Baptist Church with burial in Adamsville Cemetery. Shackelford Funeral Home in Savannah has charge.
He was a member of Clear Creek Southern Baptist Church. Mr. Farris, the widower of Ava Ruby Barnett, leaves two daughters, Cecelia Knight of Superior, Wis., and Sue Anglin of Cordova; a son, Tim Farris of Adamville; a sister, Mary Lou Williams of Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, Bill Farris of Columbia, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
