Marcia F. Chambers, daughter of Stephen and Flossie Gerhart Farrell, was born March 28, 1917, near Salisbury, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, October 15, 2002, in Lake Regional Health Systems, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of eighty-five years, six months, and seventeen days.
On January 16, 1959, she was united in marriage to Frank C. Chambers, and together they shared twenty years before his passing on April 19, 1979.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson-in-law, Bruce Dixon; and two brothers.
Marcia is survived by a son, Rowland V. "Chuck" Todd, and his wife, Karen, of Gravois Mills, Missouri; a step-son, Joe Chambers, of the State of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Rowland A. Todd, and his wife, Carmen, of Camdenton, Missouri, Jim Todd, and his wife, Kathy, of Cross Timbers, Missouri, Charles Todd, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Karen Dixon, of Joliet, Illinois; five great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Salisbury, Missouri area and graduated from high school. Throughout her life she was a devoted and hardworking homemaker to her family.
She enjoyed the simple things in life and loved living on the Lake of the Ozarks.
Marcia will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.
Graveside services were held October 18, 2002 at 10:00a.m. at Allee Memorial Gardens, under the direction of the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
A memorial has been established for the Salvation Army and contributions may be left at 101 Clint Avenue, Camdenon, Missouri.
