Enfield died July 3, 2001. She was born in Newport, Vt., on May 13, 1918,the daughter of Merle and Annette (Griggs) Leavens. She married Maurice Farnham of North Troy, Vt., who predeceased her in 1971.
She was predeceased by sons William and Stuart. While in Vermont, she was a dealer for Stanley Home Products, a member of the
American Legion and VFW Auxiliary, Trinity Episcopal Church in Rutland, and a charter member of the Chittenden (Vt.) Fire Department Auxiliary. She moved to Bradenton in 1974 and to the Weldon/Roanoke Rapids area in 1994.
She was a member of the Good News Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids. Memorial services will be held Friday, July 20, at 10 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church in Rutland.
