Jim and Cil's Drive In
A popular spot for young and old is the Drive-In restaurant, located on Highway 24, owned and operated by Glenn and Lucille Cochran. George Anstette was the founder and previous operator of the business. Courteous and quick service is rendered by Glenn and Lucille and their thildren who help them. Their empoloyees are Jim, Loretta, Bill, Charles, and Tom Cochran and Charlotte DeMumbrum. Among the specials at the Drive-In are sandwhiches and extra thick malts.

Lucile Cochran
Lucile (Farmer) Cochran, 76, of Remington, died at St. Elizabeth Hospital at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 1996. She was a resident of their Extended Care program for about seven weeks.
She was born June 24, 1920 at Williamsport, Ind. She was a graduate of Attica High School in 1938.
She married Glen W. Cochran Jan. 30, 1941. He died Dec. 15, 1987.
She belonged to the United Methodist Church of Monon.
She owned and helped operate J. & L. Drive In in Remington for five years.
She worked at the Monon Variety Store at Monon for 17 years.
She lived in Remington from 1959 to 1966 before moving to Monon. After her husband's death she moved back to Remington in 1988 where she has lived since.
She is survived by four sons, James and William Cochran, both of Remington and Charles and Thomas Cochran, both of Lafayette, one daughter Loretta Bruinfield of Crosby, Texas, one sister Maxine Cochran of Remington, 14 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. One grandson preceded her in death.
Visitation will be 4-8 pm. Thursday,, June 27 at Stitz Funeral Home in Remington. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 28 at the United Methodist Church of Remington. Body will be in state for one hour prior to church services.
Burial will follow in Remington Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the United Methodist Church of Remington.
