Son of county Farmer Dies at Shamrock Hospital Following Short Illness

Thomas Ray Farmer, 15, died at a Shamrock hospital Monday evening following an emergency operation Sunday. The youth had been ill for several days from an attack of appendicitis.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Wheeler Baptist church. Interment was in the Wheeler cemetery. M.M. Nix mortuary was in charge.

The boy is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Farmer, of near Wheeler, six brothers, Percy, of Canadian, Foy, of near Wheeler, Elvis, Paul, Fred and Roy, at home; and three sisters, Mrs. Ina Satterfield, of Wheeler, Oneta and Lois, at home. The family has resided near Wheeler since two years ago when they came to this county from Montague county.
