CLARKSBURG — Mrs. Barbara Jo Costilow, age 67, of 3010 Benjestown Road, Memphis, TN, passed away at 3 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at the St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN, following a brief illness.
She was born in Clarksburg, WV, June 28, 1940, a daughter of the late George L. Faris and Madeline Tenney Faris.
Surviving are her husband of fifty years, Ernest L. Costilow, whom she married August 29, 1957; one brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Russell Faris and wife Shirley, Broken Arrow, OK; four sisters and spouses, Eleanor Lea and Eddie Cox, Utica, MI, Ruth and Jack Gaines, Clarksburg, WV, Katherine Elizabeth and Robert Humphrey, Huntington, WV, and Patricia Ann Beverly, Blytheville, AR; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Costilow was also preceded in death by an infant daughter.
As a young girl, Barbara Jo attended Harrison County schools. She was a homemaker and Baptist by faith.
