Giacinda Cindy Elizabeth (Farina) Belmosto, 98 years of age, entered Life Eternal on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 surrounded by her family members. Cindy was born in Braintree and was a lifelong Braintree resident. She graduated from Braintree High School and subsequently graduated from the Robert Bent Brigham School of Nursing. She and her late husband Erminio Ernie Belmosto were the owners of Ernies Pearl Street Market. He died in 1970. Cindy was a private duty nurse in Pittsfield and Hingham. She had also worked as a Guard at the Fore River Shipyard during W.W.II. She was a communicant of Saint Francis of Assisi Church. Cindy enjoyed ballroom dancing. She was the loving mother of Teresa A. Belmosto of Kingston and Joseph J. Belmosto married to Holly Armitage Belmosto of Marshfield. She was the devoted grandmother of Heather Belmosto True of Braintree, Theodore R. Adams of Kingston, Cara J. Belmosto and Joseph J. Belmosto both of Marshfield. She was the great-grandmother of Aidan and Davin True of Braintree. She is survived by her sister Grace Drinkwater of North Andover and Rose Hopkins of Newark, Ohio. She was the sister of the late Louis V. Farina, Joan LeSage, Mary Carmichael and Elizabeth Farina. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the longtime companion of Arthur Aspacher of Weymouth. Visiting hours will be at the Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Thursday, Jan. 24 from 9 a.m. until the time of the Catholic Prayer Service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Memorial donations may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472 or to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
