Former Lanett Man
Dies In Jackson
Services Held For
J. E. Fant Saturday
James E. Fant, former policeman and barber in Lanett, died suddenly at his home in Jackson, Miss., Thursday. Services were held Sunday afternoon from the Johnson-Blakely Funeral Chapel with the Rev. J. D. Dollar and the Rev. Joe French officiating.
Mr. Fant was born in Chambers county and was a member of the Congregational Christian Church of Wadley. Burial was in the Lanett Cemetery with Johnson and Blakely in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. James E Fant, Lanett; his daughter, Mrs. Herman Cook, Lanett; two sons, Boyce of Huguley and James, Jr., of Chula Vista, Calif; five brothers, Ellis, of La Grange, Furman, of Montgomery, Lee, M. J. and Joe of Birmingham; three sisters, Mrs. Barney Bradford, La Grange; Mrs. Lena Duffey, Langdale, and Mrs. Doris Dollin, Birmingham.
