Donald Wayne Fanning was born on June 1, 1946 to John Govonor Fanning & Florence Charlotte Carr. From what my mother, Marilyn Jean (Fanning) Skelton told me, Donald had pnemonia, but Grandpa Fanning found a cat laying on Donald's head. When grandpa removed the cat, Donald was not breathing. My Mom told me that the cat did not live another day as well. Donald was only a little over a month old and Grandma & Grandpa had lost a baby just 1 year before in 1945. Donald's graveside service was held on July 8, 1946 at approximately 9:00am in the Linkville Pioneer Cemetery in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
