Dan T. Fann was born June 26, 1914 in Williamson County to Louis and Mae Schrum Fann. His surviving siblings were Alberta Dearmond of Du Quoin; Gladys Colemon of Hurst-Bush; Dora Fanning of Herrin; Pearl Shirley of Elkville; Myrtle De Coto of Rockford; James of Waynesboro, PA and Oscar of Sparta. One sister and two brothers preceded him in death.

He married Agnes Dearmond on July 3, 1935 in Jackson County. She and the following children survived: Perry, Danny, and Shirley Gray of Du Quoin and Pat Norris of Murphysboro. One daughter preceded him in death.

Mr. Fann was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Du Quoin. He was a Sunday school teacher, a deacon and a trustee of the church. A retired machinist, he had operated Fann's Radiator Shop for several years in Du Quoin.

Mr. Fann died at the age of 61 on Friday, August 8, 1975 in Perry County, Illinois after an extended illness. His funeral service was held in the Second Baptist Church in Du Quoin. Rev. John Knight officiated. Maxton Funeral Home (Du Quoin) was in charge of arrangements.
