Mary Kay Fangman, 74, Topeka, passed away Mon. Dec. 22, 2008.

Mrs. Fangman was born Dec. 22, 1934 in Baileyville, the daughter of Frank and Josephine Burdiek Strathman. On Nov. 12, 1960, Mary Kay married Leonard Fangman and settled in Topeka, where she was a devoted, wife, mother and a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Leonard, Topeka; children, Larry Fangman and his wife, Kristy, Topeka, Teresa Stallbaumer and her husband, Lynn, Sabetha, James Fangman and his wife, Brenda, Douglasville GA, Darren Fangman and his wife, Susan and David Fangman, all of Topeka; nine grandchildren; a brother, Galen Strathman; and a sister, Darlene Haug, both of Seneca. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Joseph, Sylvester, Adrian, Frances, Agatha, Berniece and Eileen.

Family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Fri. at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka KS 66614, where a parish rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Sat. at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church and burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Most Pure Heart of Mary Church and the Alzheimer's Association, sent in care of the funeral home.
