Age 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, while she was a resident of East Side Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw. Emma was born on the only child of the late Raymond G. Fancher and Florence E. Paul Fancher of South Warsaw. Emma was a lifetime resident of Warsaw and the Warsaw area. Emma worked in the Warsaw Button Factory before her marriage to Norman A. Cook, Jr. on June 8, 1946. Emma and Norman owned a dairy and potato farm in Wethersfield Springs until Norman's death on December 19, 1959. Emma and Norman partially raised her cousin, Harold Paul, Jr. and had three children of their own. Emma worked at the Ainsbrook Knitting Mill in Warsaw from 1960 until it closed in 1971. She then worked at Mallory Timers Company in Warsaw from 1971 to1986 when it closed. Emma also did light housekeeping for several in the Warsaw area. Emma attended Valley Chapel Free Methodist Church and loved to work on puzzles with her friends and go on senior citizens day trips. She loved to house clean. Surviving are two daughters, Joan Cook of Meadville, PA, Jan (George) Clark of Warsaw; one son, Allan (Darlene) Cook of Warsaw; five granddaughters, Jennifer Ryhal of Meadville, PA, Christina (Jeff) Kingsley of Phoenix, AZ, Samantha (Eugene) Chatley of Peoria, AZ, Melanie (Hal) Bliss of El Mirage, AZ, Jessica (Jeff Mervine) Thompson of Saegertown, PA; seven great grandsons; two great granddaughters; one step great grandson; one step great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
