Kenneth Holmes Fairey was a 19 year old when he enlisted at Keyneton, South Australia in August 1914, joining the 1st Australian Field Artillery Brigade. He was the son of Fred & Frances Fairey. Kenneth, an accountant, was 5 feet 7 inches in height with brown eyes and hair.He was promoted to corporal on 22 April, 1916 before being awarded the Military Medal for conspicuous gallantry on 4th October, 1916. Sadly, he was to lose his life in the field on 12th November, 1916. Lest We Forget.
