Juanita Benson, 84, of Del City, passed away May 15, 2009. She was born May 3, 1925 in Tabler, OK to Oliver and Minnie Fain. Juanita graduated high school in Dibble, OK. She married L.D. McConnell in 1942 in OKC and moved to Del City in 1949. Juanita worked as a secretary/PBX operator for HTB Architectural Firm and American Fidelity Assurance Co., sometimes answering a thousand calls a day. She married Wayne Benson in 1969 in OKC. She served her God faithfully at Sunnylane Southern Baptist Church in Del City. Juanita enjoyed cooking, raising roses, working in her yard, and serving others when needed. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and special friend, Ellen McConnell. She is survived by daughter, Karen Weaver and husband, Don, of OKC 2 sons: Gary McConnell and wife, Glenda, and Lewis McConnell and wife, Linda, all of OKC 6 grandchildren 8 great-grandchildren 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Family visitation will be Monday, May 18, from 6-8 pm at Bill Eisenhour S.E. Services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Bill Eisenhour S.E. Chapel, with interment at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
