He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Colleen Pender on Feb. 10, 1949, in Long Beach.
He went on to earn a bachelor's degree from the Northrop Aeronautical Institute in Southern California and spend many years working for Douglas Aircraft. He moved to Amity in 1965 and took a job with the state as an environmental engineer and retired in 1990. He also held a tax consultant license.
He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, traveling, gun collecting, dancing, golfing and flying. He was also an animal lover.
He was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, American Legion, Elks lodge, Kiwanis Club and Oregon Association of Tax Consultants. "He was a great husband and father who had a soft heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand," the family said.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Fuller is survived by four sons, Kevin of Amity, Randy of Newberg, Bill of Anaheim, Calif., and Rory of Cincinnati, Ohio; two daughters Stacy Robertson of Amity and Karen Blanchard of Newberg; two sisters, Beverly Dungan of Lakewood, Calif., and Diane Fuller of Marina Del Rey, Calif.; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Brian and Jeremy Fuller.
