Mrs. Hilda Ewell Boerschel, a native of Crisfield, passed away at her home in Baltimore on Friday, February 7th, where she had resided for a number of years. Her husband, Frederick W. Boerschel, who survives, is assistant cashier of the First National Bank, in Baltimore.
Mrs. Boerschel is the daughter of the late A. Webster Ewell and Grace Kidd Ewell of Crisfield, pioneer residents of this city. Her father at one time operated a drug store here, in the section of, the city where Mosher's Restaurat is now located. Her grandfather, the late Rev. J.E. Ewell, was the founder and first minister of Mount Pleasant Methodist Church here.
Mrs. Boerschel was born and reared in Crisfield, and attended the public schools here, after which she moved to Baltimore where she was an employee of the First National Bank until her marriage. She was a member of the Women's Eastern Shore Society. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Frank C. Stroud.
Services were held from the Henry W. Jenkins & Sons Co., York Road, Baltimore, on Monday, February 10th, at 11:00 am. Burial was in the Loudon Park Cemetery in Baltimore.
